Pia Toscano & Stefano Join Postmodern Jukebox for “The Prayer,” ’70s Soul Style
How do you match the star power of a smash hit duet featuring two of the biggest names in all of music? If you’re PMJ, you bring two of the greatest voices you know to take on “The Prayer.” Check out Pia Toscano and Stefano Langone scaling the song’s emotional heights:
Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli brought listeners to tears in two languages on their original version of “The Prayer.” PMJ’s version is also a bilingual heartwrencher, but Scott Bradlee’s arrangement offers two different flavors. Pia starts things off against a swaying ‘50s piano lick, but then Stefano enters and brings the percussion with him, spicing up the song with a soulful Stevie Wonder flavor. Together, the voices of these two Italian-American idols are the answers to our prayers!
