Postmodern Jukebox received a visit from our old friend Puddles Pity Party this week, and it seems the Twenty One Pilots song “Stressed Out” really struck a chord with him.  Listen to our version here:

If you’re new to Puddles’ sad sack renditions of pop songs, here’s the story how we met.  Since his first viral PMJ debut with a cover of “Royals” (which was Lorde’s own personal favorite cover) made him an overnight celebrity, he’s been off touring the world, holding sold-out Pity Parties on 3 continents. In “Stressed Out,” he laments the days before fame (and student loans?) made his life that much more complicated.

Tix for the Postmodern Jukebox tours of North America, Australia & New Zealand are onsale now!  If you’ve experience PMJ live before, you already know what an exciting night we have in store for you.  If you haven’t gone yet, prepare yourself for the vintage concert event of the year. Click here to get tix and select the best seats while they are available.

Happy #PMJday!

P.s. here’s the original video for “Stressed Out,” in case you aren’t familiar with it:

Very good in so many ways. I can’t figure out which era the arrangement borrows from. Could Scott a new era begetting?

  • Rob McMillin

Shouldn’t the link at the top of the video read, “Click to Clownload”?

  • Peter Sinclair
